Said to be the wine of kings, the Barolo is not an “easy to drink” beverage and remains one of the highlights of any winetasting experience thanks to the complexity of its  taste and its varying bouquet.

Season after season it continues to surprise experts and wine enthusiasts by the richness of its taste and the variety of perfumes which distinguish each vintage. It seems to always have a new story to tell to the discerning wine drinker.

A strong bodied red wine, Barolo is the offspring of the Nebbiolo grape which plays a leading role in Piedmont’s wine growing. The maturing of Barolo lasts at least three years of which at least two in oak or chestnut barrels.


The wine’s taste will be smooth and velvet-like, the colour will strike you as red with an orange tinge at the edges.

The nose will speak of violet and rosa canina , developing into a very peculiar, ethereal bouquet. Important chefs would recommend it for any dish, but you will undoubtedly appreciate it most with roasted meets, venison and cheeses.
